After I posted my last list of things I want to do to my blog, I started playing with CSS code. Quite frankly, it’s too much for me to learn night now. I don’t have the time to dedicate to it. The next day, WordPress announced a new Theme which has most of what I was hoping for. I switched my theme to Enterprise and fiddled with the header and background, and I’m pretty happy with the outcome.
There is more I want to do, and my hubby (who is a developer and knows a little CSS and PHP) and I have been talking about moving Murren Pursues the Dream away from the hosted WordPress to the open-source-do-what-you-will-with-it un-hosted version. Since I have very limited time mess with the blog, it will probably be quite a while before this happens.
In the mean time, here’s my updated to-do list. I’ve broken it into two primary sections: one for things I can do here and now, and one for things that will require a move.
Here and now: Update the header image/text combo. Moojoose has kindly offered to make me a new graphic. Now I just need to get some sort of idea what I want.
Not here and now:
- Add pages that show links for just a selected link list, rather than all links.
- Add pages that allow a combination of links and text/posts
- Change widgets for each page.
- Change the order of the tabs for categories (currently alphabetical)
